About Us Our Mission
Introducing Fiona Edwards Fiona first started riding horses when she was 8 years old and adored them that much that she just about begged, borrowed or stole a horse to ride and love. Her original instructors where involved in the movie industry and Fiona’s love of liberty and alternative training techniques evolved from watching the ‘trick’ horses trained for film. Having attended and competed in Pony Club, local Agricultural Shows and Royal Level Competition over the years, Fiona has a world of experience to share with like minded horse lovers. Gaining experience from the disciplines of Hack, Dressage, Western, Natural Horsemanship, Trail Riding, Jumping and Sporting, Fiona can give you an all round experience with your horse or specialize in the area you are interested in. Having completed her Level 2 and most of Level 3 through two different Natural Horsemanship Groups, most of her teachings start with ground skills as this is such an important part of having a well behaved horse. Fiona is currently competing on her Friesian Warmblood mare Brindabella Dreaming in breed classes and Dressage bringing on her wonderful new purebred Friesian filly, Tiemke S.
Introducing Scott Edwards Scott has spent the most part of his life being involved with cropping in the southern states of Australia and has a vast knowledge of grasses and fodder crops. He utilizes these skills to enable Diamondvale to progress and look wonderful all year round having high quality feed available and to give our wonderful young horses a great start in life with the highest of nutrient enriched natural food (grass) available. This is an ongoing development for Scott and Diamondvale Stud and he will be shortly branching out into our Agricultural Services area and improving pastures for other small acreage properties in South East Queensland. He has only joined the horse lovers realm since meeting his wife, Fiona, however has a natural ability and kind, quiet nature that the horses love. He has found his niche in hoof trimming and has been bare foot trimming professionally for the last two years. Under Fiona’s tuition he has learnt and perfected ground skills that help in teaching your horse to stand comfortably without restraint while being trimmed. Scott is well on his way to achieving his Level 2 in Natural Horsemanship and enjoys trail rides in the local area when his other work permits him the time! |
